For all mount orders a 50% deposit is required at time of
order. Remainder due after mount completion and prior to shipment.
Payment on mount orders by check or wire transfer only (sorry, no credit
card orders for mountings).
Credit Card: For accessory orders only (not
mountings), we accept
Visa/MasterCard/Discover/AMEX by phone and fax. Please remember to
include the following information: Name on Card, Billing Address for
Card, Shipping Address (if different), Email Address, Card Type, Card
Number, Expire Date, phone number, and the 3 digit verification number on
the back of Visa/Discover/MasterCard, or the 4 digit verification number on
the front of AMEX cards. We are sorry, but we cannot accept credit
card orders from outside the US, at this time.
Paypal: For accessory orders only (not mountings),
provides a secure way for both buyer and seller, and permits you to pay
directly and quickly from your major credit card or bank account, with no
fees to you. Please note: in order to submit
payment by Paypal you must be a paypal member.
To submit a secure online payment using Paypal, send your
payment to firstname.lastname@example.org. In the Paypal
message to seller field (or item/product name field), simply indicate the
items you wish to order (you can send us a separate email as well with order
details, if you wish). Please remember to also add in the
additional amount needed for shipping (see the table below) - the shipping
charge must be added into the total, not as a separate item.
We will respond by email when we receive your payment, and
indicate our expected ship date. Due to the recent increase in spam
and viruses, we have found some spam blockers aggressively cull or block
valid emails. If you do not receive an order confirmation from
us within 2 days, please check back with us, it is possible that filtering
has omitted our replies.
Checks: Please send to the address
listed above. Money orders or bank checks are preferred, but personal
checks are fine (please allow 12 additional business days for personal checks
to clear). All checks must be drawn in US$.

In Stock: Mounts and Accessories shipped from Stock
are shipped FOB, Eagle Idaho. Shipment method to be negotiated
with customer (typically UPS for small accessories and GM1000/GM2000 mounts, Truck
Freight for GM4000.
Mountings will usually be drop shipped directly to the
Shipping costs will be estimated at time of order and
updated prior to shipment. Our shipment arrangements are flexible.

- Delivery Lead Times
Accessories are often available from stock for immediate
delivery. Typical leadtimes for GM1000HPS and GM2000HPS mountings are
1 month. GM4000HPS mounts require 1-6 months maximum from time of
- Cancellations and Returns
Please submit all mount cancellations in writing.
Refunds will be sent within 30 days of cancellation receipt. Full
refunds will be given on GM1000HPS and GM2000HPS mounts. A 5%
Cancellation Fee will be deducted from the deposit for all GM4000 mounts . Any bank charges incurred from
refund processing will be paid by the customer.
Accessories may be returned in new (fully
re-sellable) condition within 20 days for a full refund (less shipping
charges or cost for any damage). We ask that you call or write (email)
for approval, prior to returning an item.
10 Micron products are warranted against defects in
materials or workmanship by the original manufacturer for a period of 2
years for electronic parts and 2 years for mechanical parts. The 10
Micron warranty covers only defects that result from normal use of the
product. Damage to the mounting or accessories caused by modification,
mis-use, or rough handling are not covered under warranty.
Furthermore, any damage to electronic components due to plugging or
unplugging while powered on are also not covered.
We stand behind what we sell. Alpine Astronomical,
LLC is a fully authorized provider of service for 10 Micron products.
Send all warranty returns to Alpine Astronomical, LLC. If the returned
product is found to be due to defective materials or workmanship, we will
repair or replace all of the product and pay for return to the customer.
We require that you call or write (email)
for approval, prior to returning an item for warranty.
Due to the nature of all motorized telescope mountings,
any telescope, accessory, or mounting can be damaged due to impact with
observatory structures, mounting supports or other surrounding objects.
This can be caused by accident, equipment failure, or software failure.
Neither Alpine Astronomical nor 10 Micron is responsible for damage to your
telescope, accessories, or mountings due to such occurrences.
The services, information or data (collectively,
"Information") made available at the Alpine Astronomical, LLC web site
are provided "AS IS," without warranties of any kind.
