Description

  • The EFA kit automates focusing on the optional Hedrick Focuser, or IRF90 rotating focuser.

  • Monitors temperature (primary-mirror and OTA back-plate).

  • Controls the fans built-in to CDK telescopes.

  • Ensure you have the proper EFA kit selected for your telescope below.

  • 125901-Kit is for all CDK12.5 OTAs. 200901-Kit is for all CDK14 OTAs and CDK20 (made in 2020 and earlier). 240901-Kit is for all CDK17, CDK20 (made in 2021 and after), and all CDK24 OTAs.

Here's how to tell the difference in CDK20 versions.

  • CDK20 OTAs made in 2021 and after have fans on the side of the OTA and also on the backplate of the OTA

  • CDK20 OTAs made in 2020 and earlier only have fans on the backplate.

  • Please ensure you have the proper EFA kit selected for your telescope. In 2021 we began manufacturing the CDK20 with side OTA fans in addition to backplate fans, which will be controlled using the 240901 EFA Kit. If your CDK20 does not have side OTA fans, and only backplate fans, then your CDK20 requires the 200901 EFA Kit.

  • Ensure you have the proper EFA kit selected for your telescope below.

  • 125901-Kit is for all CDK12.5 OTAs.200901-Kit is for all CDK14 OTAs and CDK20 (made in 2020 and earlier).240901-Kit is for all CDK17, CDK20 (made in 2021 and after), and all CDK24 OTAs.
